Recording Lessons on a Mac
The latest versions of Quicktime on a Mac have many features that most people do not know about. Because Quicktime is included with every Mac, you already have it and can take advantage of these features for free.
So, you recorded a lesson... but now you want to add something fancy, join two lessons together, or break a lesson into two parts. With iMovie you can do all of that and a lot more. This lesson includes some simple tips and tricks.
We recommend you have a good quality external webcam with HD video and high quality audio. For example, one that we like is the Logitech C615 (be aware that model numbers frequently change).
Also, make sure you have light shining on your face, even from a table lamp, with a darker background than that in front of you. With a light on you from the front and a darker background, your face will show very well. However, a light background and darker in front of you will cause your face to be dark, if not in silhouette.
