Boolean operators allow terms to be combined through logic operators. Our search function supports AND, OR, NOT as Boolean operators (Note: Boolean operators must be ALL CAPS).
The OR operator:
The OR operator is the default conjunction operator. This means that if there is no Boolean operator between two terms, the OR operator is used. The OR operator links two terms and finds a matching lessons if either of the terms exist in a lesson title or key word.
To search for lessons that contain either quadratic or equation or equations any of the following searches will work:
Example 1: quadratic equation equations
Example 2: quadratic equation OR equations
Example 3: quadratic OR equation OR equations
The AND operator:
The AND operator matches lessons where both terms exist anywhere in the title or key words.
To search for documents that contain quadratic and equation any of the follow searches will work:
Example 1: quadratic AND equation
Example 2: equation AND quadratic
The NOT operator:
The NOT operator excludes lessons that contain the term after NOT. The NOT operator cannot be used with just one term.
To search for lessons that contain quadratic but not formula the follow search will work:
Example 1: quadratic NOT formula
